We’re looking for an Engineering Manager who doesn’t just manage. You build, optimize, architect, and own.
What You’ll Actually Do
- Architect, refactor, and scale a high-load distributed system where failure is not an option.
- Lead by example - code, review, debug, and mentor through doing, not preaching.
- Tune performance until it screams - reduce latency, optimize throughput, and kill inefficiencies.
- Make tough calls: design trade-offs, architecture rewrites, tech debt prioritization.
- Work side-by-side with Product Owners and Solution Architects - no “handoffs,” just shared goals.
- Build systems that outlive trends - resilient, measurable, and elegant.
- Jump into incidents, own RCA, and make sure it never happens again.
- Push the “PoC-first” mindset - test fast, fail smart, scale what works.
What You Bring
- 5+ years of backend experience - you’ve built serious stuff, not toy projects.
- Deep in Node.js / TypeScript, comfortable with async flows, gRPC, and Kafka.
- Hands-on with Kubernetes, Docker, and AWS.
- You can diagram a microservice architecture from memory - and then improve it.
- Obsessed with performance metrics, observability, and efficiency.
- You think like an engineer, act like an architect, and deliver like an owner.
- You’ve led engineers - maybe not by title, but by respect and example.
- Bonus: You’ve touched ClickHouse, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or DynamoDB.
How We Work
- Speed > perfection. Build fast, measure, and move on.
- Impact > output. One scalable fix beats ten “good-enough” features.
- Depth > talk. We respect engineers who know their stack and their product.
- Direct > polite. Say what’s broken, fix it, move forward.
- No heroes, no silos. We win as a team or not at all.
What We Offer
- Fully remote. Work from anywhere in Europe.
- Unlimited vacation + paid sick leave. Life happens — take time.
- Quarterly bonuses. Real performance, real rewards.
- Medical insurance for you and your partner.
- Learning budget for courses, conferences, and certifications.
- Ownership and autonomy. You decide how to make things faster, cleaner, better.
- No bureaucracy, no filler. Just meaningful engineering work.
Apply now, if you’re the kind of engineer who runs toward complexity, who sees product value in milliseconds and infrastructure elegance - then you’ll feel at home here.
